Banner Life Insurance
Banner Life Insurance was originally formed in 1949, as GELICO, or Government Employees Life Insurance Company, before being bought as a company owned outright by its parent company Legal General Group Plc in 1981. Two years later, it became known as Banner Life Insurance as clarification of its important position with Legal General America. Banner Life Insurance sells its products through independent agencies throughout mainland America, encompassing 48 states and the District of Colombia. Banner Life Insurance takes its role as an ethical agency very seriously, promising to provide its customers with the best possible coverage and treatment. Their aim is to build for the future, hoping to retain customers for a very long time, offering extremely competitive prices.
In 1989, the William Penn Life Insurance Group from New York, a subsidiary of Banner's, joined up. From then on, management at the top level has been amalgamated. The fusion of these companies has worked well, with William Penn bringing forty years of agency experience to the table, and Banner being a well renowned national company.
Banner Life Insurance enjoys superb ratings from the highly influential sources, Best 10 and Standard & Poor, the former rewarding Banner its highest rating, the latter awarding a AA mark. The reason for this high praise is borne out from the fact that Banner is independent, both in terms of management and finance. Banner Life Insurance is also a recognized member of the Legal & General Group Plc.
